it all sunk in and THEN he got upset. he had a football tourney in Lexington the next morning and had to be at the school at 6:00 a.m. and he WAS NOT GOING TO PLAY. (he went though!)

three days later...this is when we found out it wasnt broken. yeah!
so swollen!So, we go to a surprise birthday party for my friend Jane. All adults are having a good time indoors while the boys ( and pretty little Peyton ) were playing football outside...or so we thought. The football had transferred to a joyride on a go cart WITHOUT parental knowledge OR permission. So, Devin is a passenger (luckily he had SOME sense to put on the seatbelt) in this swift moving peice of metal. They take a curve too fast and flip the thing over. Needless to say, we spent the rest of the night in the E.R. We went the weekend with the diagnosis of a broken elbow only to get some great news on Monday when the Ortho said it was NOT broken. Yeah. two weeks to heal instead of 6-12 weeks. He was really lucky that it hadnt been worse....much worse.
